Fayetteville is the largest city we serve. Cumberland County, city lots, HOA subdivisions, and acreage on the edge. It is not a name-swap of the Pinehurst page. Heat, clay, and stormwater on a city lot are a different problem than a Village golf property.
A Fayetteville pond has to handle summer that does not let up, clay that clouds water after every storm, and often a smaller backyard with a fence and a neighbor. We size the skimmer and the biological volume for that load, or we recommend pondless if the lot cannot carry an open pond.
The drive from the Sandhills is real. We still take the work because the city does not have a deep bench of actual ecosystem pond builders. Landscapers with a liner and a pump are easy to find. A crew that hides AquaBlox and a wetland under native stone is not.
